Hermès Picotin Lock 22 bag Taurillon Clemence leather
The Hermès Picotin is one of those bags that you only understand upon closer inspection.
No big logo show, no dramatic top-handle moment like with Kelly or Birkin.
Just a soft leather bucket with a lock, which has quietly become one of the most popular Hermès bags.

The bag is in perfect condition, with no signs of wear on the corners or the outer leather. There are only minimal marks inside, probably from a ballpoint pen; otherwise, it's in immaculate condition. It comes with a Hermès Twilly bag, which is so artfully draped that I won't remove it.
The bag comes with a box and a dust bag from Hermès.
Hermès Picotin
The Hermès Picotin was introduced in 2002 and is a tribute to Hermès' equestrian roots. The name "Picotin" is French for a portion of oats for a horse. The bag is inspired by classic feed bags: a lined container, open, practical, and always in use.
Hermès translates this very idea into a handbag. The Picotin is unlined, meaning it has no lining, visible edges, and a center seam. The base is reinforced and has four metal feet to ensure the bag stands upright. Two handles rest comfortably in the hand or in the crook of the arm. It closes with a leather strap that fastens over a small padlock—the iconic Hermès lock familiar from the Kelly.
There are no large logos on the front. Those familiar with Hermès will recognize the lock, the leather, the proportions. Those unfamiliar with the brand will "only" see a very beautiful bucket bag. That's precisely what makes the Picotin so appealing: it's luxury for you – not for everyone else.
