Hans Achtziger, who consistently ensured that his creations fulfilled the diverse wishes of porcelain buyers and collectors of the Hutschenreuther Group's products. This modeler, sculptor, and artist, who designed his first porcelain sculpture, a sparrowhawk, as an apprentice under Karl Tutter in 1936, and who, after 1948, worked as a ceramic sculptor in the Lorenz Hutschenreuther art department in Selb, modeling more than 150 figures and developing his service designs to series production, was active for over 50 years, most recently as head of the Lorenz Hutschenreuther art department.
