Beautiful vintage set from WMF
Dimensions of sugar container: Height 6 cm, diameter at the top 9 cm
Dimensions of milk jug: Height 6 cm, diameter at top 6.5 cm
Marking: 1870 - 1903 WMFM - These four-letter inscriptions are combinations of the word “WMF” together with one of the following letters: “M” or “B”, indicating the base metal used for the silver plating, i.e. brass (“M” for brass) or a tin-containing alloy, so-called Britannia metal (“B”).
The set is gold-plated inside and, despite its great age, shows only minimal signs of wear.
The sugar container has a small dent at the bottom.
